Background
UnchrisT was formed in 1996 by 2 members of a popular Houston blues band called Redhouse (which was formed by members of Imprecation and North Louisiana grindcore gods Twisted Flesh)
In 1997, the drummer from Tractor (the most innovative underground metal band since Paregoric) was added to the line-up along with the keyboardist from The Test Tube Babies, who later that year died of an inhalant overdose. The other members of the band decided it was for the best and never replaced him.
In 1998 the band realized that despite an upcoming Southeast tour, they really couldn't stand to be around each other so they disbanded to pursue other projects (most notably The Drunks, Transmaniacon MC, Kathonik, The Texas Militia Men, and Armd & Hammerd)
In mid-2000, however; all 3 members of UnchrisT were contacted directly by Satan himself and ordered to reform the band or spend an eternity at the GAP in the Galleria.
Needless to say, UnchrisT reformed immediately.
Unfortunately, that evil fuck of an angel, Lucifer; was only fuckin' with their heads and it would be another year before they even came up with a creative idea. Turns out that idea sucked. UnchrisT is currently regrouping and things are looking very good for 2002.
